Alternate Worlds ( it used to be my comic shop of choice when i used to buy dozens of superhero comics a month back in the 90s and when they had a store in Camberwell) is closing it's Chapel St store and moving further into the eastern suburbs. Talks of reducing overheads to compete with online competitors. My gut feeling is that they may just fade from view all together. I should feel more passionate but overall i'm one of the reason these guys probably aren't doing so well anymore. I buy my comics from the creators directly as much as possible or from publishers websites or from the lowest price retailer. Bobby N reacts here and the Noncanonical podcast talk about it here.
